Estonian national skipper’s certificate, issued by Estonian government and valid in most European countries for recreational use. Does not have entry requirements, suitable for beginners, from 16 years old. Course include theory and practical subjects, minimum duration 66 hours.
Allows to operate by sailing and motor yachts up to a maximum length of 78 ft /24 m, including European inland waters and high seas, without any additional limitations.
Some of European countries and some of chartering companies can limit the validity of this certificate on their territory and for chartering. However, this certificate is one of most popular in Estonia, because it allows to start sailing and to collect required experience for any next IYT qualification.
